Ben has been in the Air Force since 1997. He has a line number for Master Sergeant and should sew it on around the April 2011 time frame. We have been stationed at Seymour Johnson AFB - Goldsboro, NC (Oct 97 to Jan 00) - Ramstein AB, Germany (Feb 00 to Feb 03), Kirtland AFB - Albuquerque, NM (Feb 03 to July 05), Ramstein AB, Germany (Aug 05 to Oct 08), Pentagon, Washington D.C. (November 2008 to December 2010). Ben just left for Kunsan AB in Korea the first week of January. This is a remote assignment, lasting one year. Over the Christmas holiday, Ben moved us to Scott AFB in Illinois, where he will join us next year after his Korea tour. We just love our new home and it will be great to work on it if we WANT to, not because we HAVE to; our last home was a forclosure and we worked on it non-stop for 2 years!
Christy has been accepted to nursing school and will be starting this July! She is so excited to finally have her chance to go to nursing school. This will be a 3 year BSN program.
Christian is 15 and is a Sophmore in high school. He is in the JROTC and spends much of his time reading, playing with friends, and playing soccer. He also is enjoying his time in the gym, working on his muscles and now gets to do this everyday in PE at school!
Brittney is 12 and is in the 7th grade. She is enjoying her second year of playing violin, but her new school doesn't offer it. She just recently got a new violin, so that she can keep playing and practicing until she can take it again at school. The high school offers strings class, so 1½ years from now, she can resume her studies. She also enjoys singing and will often tinker around with her keyboard and violin, making music. She loves to listen to music as well and always has her radio on. She also loves art - drawing, painting, and making things. She just recently bought some new paints and brushes.....we willl see what her next masterpiece will be. She has taken a course at the local hospital to become a certified babysitter and is ready to start making some money!
We are a big soccer family as well. Ben coaches, the kids both play, and Christy is a great soccer mom♥

We have been told that Ben getting orders was a good mess-up and we know that everything happens for a reason. It was time for us to move on and we are enjoying the slower environment of Southern Illinois. What an exciting but stressful time but we are enjoying getting settled into our new home. We are just glad the both of us are able to do this part of everything together. Christy wasn't looking forward to having to move and get settled on her own.
