Bastogne Belguim - Battle of the Bulge Reenactment
Hey guys! Well, we went this weekend (December 15th, 2007) for the reenactment of the Battle of the Bulge in Bastogne Belguim with Christian's Boy Scout Troop 166. We walked the same trail as the American Army did in 1944 during World War II; we did the 15 kilometer trail and it was freezing. I can't imagine those poor guys who did it in the snow as well. It was really neat to be a part of it and walk the same steps that they did. There were old trucks, tanks, weapons everywhere. There were also tons of people walking around dressed the part as well! The weather was beautiful, but cold! The high was about 30 all weekend. The kids did great and trucked right along. I have posted pictures in the photo albums if you want to have a look. Brr... I am still cold!
